European Tour #3 – The end of the road
Day 49. May 30. Monday.
After the morning rain cleared I took a photo-walk around Oslo to some of the nice places I had seen. I suspect I may be back sometime, especially since Anders invited me up to his family’s cabin in the Norway mountains.
I came back, took a shower, and got packed up barely in time for Anders’ sister, Miri, to pick me up and take me to the airport in exchange for a coaching session, which we did on the way and over lunch at the airport, which she bought me! She had read Somebody Should Have Told Us! before Anders and then turned him onto it. And, as I write this in the Oslo airport, 49 Days later I go home!
Gratitude for the good times
What an amazing trip this has been! I could not have asked for anything better. People have been so incredible. I’ve had such good times, conducted such good trainings, did some good counseling and coaching sessions, saw some beautiful sights in some new territory. It truly could not have been better.
Next time if I were wise I would only be away for 30 days at a time, though, because at the 30 day mark I can really start to feel it. I do seem to get my second wind about a week after, but still… I’m not getting any younger. But I feel good. Very alive. Exhilarated.
Now it’s time to retreat a bit where I know very few people and step out of mini-mini-celebrity status, back to my Florida condo, see if it’s okay, take care of some neglected things, get an adjustment and a massage, and then get ready to start writing again on my new book.
Right now my plan is to drive from Florida to Vermont over three days, hopefully visit my friend Christie Binzen in North Carolina on my way north, perhaps stop at Divine Play in Charlottesville, Virginia en route (although I’m not sure of that), and end up in Vermont with my daughter, Jaime, and my granddaughter, Eden for my BIG birthday and Father’s Day.
Florida
After a LONG but nonstop flight I arrived in Fort Lauderdale at 8:00 PM, and my son, Dave, picked me up at the airport and brought me home and stayed over. I’m home. Stay tuned for his band, Locos Por Juana’s new CD, Caribe, to come out by the end of June. Great Latino music with a very innovative twist. Sounds great to me. Grammy-worthy, if you ask me.
And speaking of great things coming out: News Flash—Hot off the presses—just out today. Beyond Beliefs: The Lost Teachings of Sydney Banks by Linda Quiring. Not to be missed, especially as this small book unfolds. Yours truly wrote the Foreword.
Not the end
And thus ends my European Tour # 3 blog. I’ll pick it up again when I leave again for Europe in November. I may submit an item or two in between but it is time for me to concentrate on my new book, Seduced by Consciousness, get it done and out.
Thank you for being interested enough to follow my blog. It always amazes me that anyone is interested. And finally, a huge thank you to Frank Gerryts who encouraged me to write a blog of my travels in the first place, and who posted my entries for me every day.
Blessings to all of you out there.
I’ve loved reading your blogs Jack.
Glad you’re home safely.
I hope you have a great birthday with your family.
I’ll crack on with my story for your book now you’re getting down to it.
Look forward to seeing you in November.
Love from
Sally xx
Hi Jack, So great to meet you at the 3P conference in London. Glad to have found your blog here and hope you’ll keep writing even if you’re not travelling and that you’ll visit Ireland again soon. Best of luck with all that’s ahead. I know we’re on a similar path having spoken with you. Hugs, Grace
