European Tour Day 19: Swedish dessert
Day 19, March 18.
This was such a delightful day—one of my best of my trip! Fredrik and I drove to Alnarp, which is a college campus with beautiful grounds, complete with castle, where we met Viktoria, and then we all went to her great little home town of Lomma on the sea. We even had a nice walk on the beach.
We just all hit it off together so well, the spirits were so high, and we even got in a little coaching session within it all that was seamless.
Both Fredrik and Viktoria are really wonderful people, and it was a true pleasure to hang out with them. They turned me on to the wonders of the Swedish dessert, Semla, which is almost like a cream puff, but has almond Mandelmassa mashed into it and soft cakey stuff instead of crusty-flaky pastry. Truly delicious! What a great day all around!
