European Tour Day 33: First Italian book signing
Day 33, April 1.
Today is Amy’s birthday. I am so honored and the luckiest guy in the world to have been in a relationship with her, and that ain’t no April Fool’s.
I spent most of the day in bed. Actually felt a little bit better, but decided to take care of myself. So I’m not seeing much of Milan, but that’s fine.
I emerged around 2:00 PM to meet Allesandro, who was the primary translator of my book into Italian, and his lovely wife Ciara. I managed to get the first real food into me, a little minestrone soup, which was great.
When we came back Ciara offered to give me another short healing. I love and appreciate so much that there are so many healers around who are willing to take care of me. They tap into the energy of Universal Mind. Only the hotel wouldn’t let Ciara go to my room to do it, because they thought she was an escort service. So she had to do it on a couch in the middle of the lobby, with many people milling about.
Then I went to take a brief nap and I had to rally to do my first book signing talk on the tour. First, Ciara read a part of chapter 1 in Italian to the audience of about 15 people, and I spoke and answered questions with Alessandro translating for me and Ciara asking questions when the audience wasn’t. It seemed like it went very well and I signed a number of books. Really nice little bookstore.
Then I came back and went to bed again, after just grabbing a tiny finger food sandwich served at the bookstore. I was gaining weight on this trip, but I am certainly losing it now.
It was a real pleasure this meeting Jack! I’m still thinking about your words in the car before you left in Bologna… It was a honour… see u soon we’ll send you the pics!
