European Tour Day 39: The power of Thought
Day 39, April 7.
Yesterday I met a friend of Amanda’s who came over for dinner. Fran is a Yoga teacher, does some NLP, but what intrigued me most is a body healing technique she also does called the Rosen Technique or something like that. She places her hands on parts of the body and gets messages about where the body is holding memories in the muscle tissue, and it brings emotions up for people, and through her work on them it’s released.
So naturally I had to try this out, being naturally curious and the sucker for bodywork that I am. We decided to trade.
So in the morning she came over to Amanda’s and did a session for me on Amanda’s massage table. What fascinated me is stuff did come up for me when she held various muscle groups.
I had the thought that every single one of those things that comes up—and it’s the same with Bioenergetics—is an illusion of one’s own creation of thought that people have believed to be so real that it actually gets stored in the muscle tissue. That’s the power of thought! But once those things get brought out into the light it sure would be helpful for them to be seen as illusion instead of real.
Amanda, who is part of a vegetarian club in Javea, took me for a nice vegetarian lunch on a beautiful rocky beach overlooking the sea.
Amanda is a unique person; it’s like she sincerely bathes in and exudes love—pretty much to everyone—and there is nothing phony about it. We had a long talk about taking care of everyone else at one’s own expense.
I had another night where I still did not feel well. How long can this go on?!
