European Tour – Friday in London
May 19. Friday.
I had to catch a very early taxi from the hotel to the airport, so I had to do most of my packing the night before and rushed out, flew to London Stansted, took a taxi to The Grove hotel, and then discovered while I was unpacking to my shock that I had not checked my closet at the Tourin hotel and had left at least a few of my shirts hanging up there. Argghhh! So I texted Monica and hopefully she is able to retrieve them for me and send them along to Spain, where I will pick them up.
I can’t say enough about The Grove hotel. Apparently, it is supposed to be one of the top 10 hotels in the world—I may have the number wrong, but it’s way up there. It is gorgeous. The rooms are gorgeous, the grounds are gorgeous, there are many walking paths. The food is incredible. There is a beautiful spa with swimming pool, sauna and Jacuzzi. When walking around the grounds I bumped into an outdoor pool behind a walled garden, which I’d never seen before in my other few years here.
The only reason the speakers at the 3PUK conference stay here, is because Shaul knows the owner well, and he lets us all stay here for free as a donation to the Tikun organization. The only unfortunate part is we are isolated from the other participants. That night we had a huge Sabbath dinner at Shaul’s house with most of the presenters, which was very nice. And we all celebrated Bill Pettit’s birthday. And got back to the hotel very late.
Enjoying your adventures very much Jack ❤️
