Jack Pransky Trip Blog, Australia, Thursday, February 22
Thursday, February 22. At least tied for the best day of my trip yet. First I walked the beautiful 45 minute boardwalk through this estuary again, and ended up at the beach. While I waited for Fiona, I lay on my towel and read the fascinating book I’m reading, The Field, by Lynn McTaggart. The physics in it are way over my head, but I suspect by the end of the book it will prove scientifically the truth of Mind, Consciousness and Thought. Then Fiona showed up with her paddleboard. I love paddleboarding, and the bay was mostly so smooth. I paddled way out to the cliffs and peeked around the edge. I loved it! Then I paddled back to give Fiona the board, and while she was gone I took my half-hour swim. This is the most perfect bay I’ve ever been to for swimming. Water temperature was perfect. Sandy bottom. You can walk out for a long time up to your knees, and when you finally get waist deep you can swim for miles.–not that I did. Then I came back, still waiting for Fiona and read some more in the brilliant sun. Actually, thank goodness it was a little cloudy, because it would’ve been very easy to get fried. Fiona was gone a long time but she finally came back . She then took me to find some surf on the ocean side of the peninsula. No surf existed today, despite that we went to a popular surfing spot; one couldn’t even body surf, the waves were so tiny. But it was a nice drive through beautiful country, and we stopped and had a nice Greek lunch along the way. Really good conversation. Fiona dropped me back at the house and I took a luxurious bath. Not much could’ve been better. And tomorrow I start work again.
