European Tour Day 11: Amsterdam
Day 11. March 10.
As soon as I stepped foot in Amsterdam I fell in love with the place. No, it wasn’t the marijuana cafés with smoke wafting onto the streets (and ironically a lower marijuana use rate than in the United States). Nor was it the red light district which almost puts the French Quarter of New Orleans to shame. It was the entire atmosphere. The beautiful canals, unique architecture of the buildings, the thousands of bicycles lining the streets and being peddled everywhere—just the whole feeling.
Another absolutely gorgeous weather day. It had started with Jos cleaning my new laptop, which had already taken in some nasty stuff. I was so grateful.
Then I did a Skype coaching session with Suzie from somewhere in the Netherlands because she was too sick to attend the training yesterday, and she got a lot out of it.
Then Jos and I took the train into Amsterdam and we walked and we walked for at least 8 miles getting deliciously lost and finding our way again.
After another very productive coaching session and another great Indian meal, Jos and I parted company, and I was on my own again, staying at the appropriately named, Conscious Hotel, where I am savoring the quiet.
