European Tour Day 62: Relationships in Brighton
Day 62, April 30.
I woke up this morning and finally hit the wall. What hit me was I am just totally ready to be home. But that’s an understandable thought worth ignoring right now, because I’ve got about 5 or 6 more days and 4 more presentations and two coaching sessions to do in that time. Talk about finishing with a flurry.
Also, the number of emails I am receiving from people that I have to respond to is beginning to get overwhelming in terms of taking up so much of my time, even though I enjoy getting them. Another thought to ignore right now.
I felt a lot better after taking about a 4 mile walk with Steve and Tony along the beach and back through the city of Brighton. What a special and unique place Brighton is! Very hippie-chic and an artist colony, simply loaded with incredible stores and restaurants.
We ate lunch a Bill’s, and I had one of the best meals there that I’ve had on the entire trip, a chili salmon dish.
Then I took a much needed nap. When I woke up to find one of my favorite people, Janet Lindsay, who had arrived from Birmingham. It was great to see her again on this trip.
Then it was time to do my evening presentation on Relationships. I had entered it with a little more trepidation than my other sessions because I hadn’t done a session on relationships for quite some time, and because it was appended to another 4-hour session tomorrow on relationships and parenting.
But it ended up going really well. Over 30 people attended. Really good feeling. I seem to be speaking more in my sessions lately (as opposed to mostly answering questions), and I’m not sure whether that’s good or bad, but it certainly seemed to work out well tonight.
Afterwards, Steve, Tony, Janet and I stayed up too late talking—more about relationships—and it just felt great.
Tony came up with the same idea as Julian had the day before: To do up a Jack Pransky Three Principles European Tour T-shirt, with all the places I’ve been listed on the back. Sounds a little presumptuous to me, but also fun, in a way. I can’t imagine anyone would be interested in it, but Tony assures me people would whom I had contact with on the Tour. Hmmm.
