Friday, February 23. Proving that my feelings about not wanting to teach the Three Principles any more were just low mood thinking, not to be taken seriously, today turned out to be a really good training day. I walked the 45 minutes down the boardwalk through this estuary again–why were there no mosquitoes so early in the morning?–and arrived at the training site all sweaty. This time I had the foresight to bring a change of clothes. It was really nice working with Fiona, even though we had never worked together before, and even though our own training came from different sources. Our back-and-forth repartee seemed seamless. This was a huge group for me, with about 47 people, and I’m used to working in a circle of 20 or so. So the typical sharing that I usually have people do at the beginning would’ve taken way too much time; therefore, we had to improvise. I think by the end of the morning people had a really good feeling together, which continued to grow throughout the afternoon. This is also a three day, instead of the two day, training. I’m very happy with where day one left off. Fiona had planned a reception about an hour and ½ after the training ended, so I decided to put my bathing suit on and go alone to the beach. I read for a little while, fell asleep, and then woke up to take a swim. I was at the same bay I was at yesterday but it was like a totally different place. Today there were rough waves, which were really tough to swim through, so I swam less than half of the time I usually do. Then I changed clothes in between two storage sheds and headed for the reception. The reception was very nice, but it was certainly still like working, as people asked me many questions. But it was fine. Rochelle, who is involved in the online coaching training I’m doing with Gabriela, drove me home. Because my body was still very salty from the water, I took a hot bath and crawled wearily into bed.
