Another Spain Trip – October 31 & November 1
Wednesday, October 31. Halloween. I had to deal with an emergency situation with a participant from the training this morning; I really felt like I was out of my league as this was a very serious mental health issue. But it ended up working out well, at least temporarily. Later I searched out resources that might be able to help this person when she returns. About nine of us took the long walk to Altea today. Some of us walked faster than others so we met up at the church, and there we spotted Gabriela and Karen and her family. They all wanted to eat at a Spanish restaurant on the way back, and we walked there ahead of them and thought we were going to but we ended up walking all the way back to the hotel and eating there. Then I took another luxurious bath and a little nap.
Thursday, November 1. I took a big hike up the mountain to the right of the lighthouse by myself. Really felt my old legs coming down. I really got a glimpse of having 72 years of miles, wear and tear on my legs and what that means. Thank God I got my legs worked on yesterday—that helped so much!–but I felt like I undid everything I had done. I had a nice talk with Lise tonight. But all afternoon after a bath I spent proofreading the proofs to my soon-to-be-new book: Hope for All. I am totally bleary-eyed. A lot of hard work.
