Euro4: Breakthrough on the last day of the training
November 15, Tuesday.
Of all the trainings I have ever facilitated this one was the most powerful. We were going to play a Syd tape first thing this morning, but H approached me before we started and told me she was losing it and was going backwards. I convinced her, brave woman that she is, instead of leaving us and continuing to get more miserable that she offer herself to do a session in front of the full group, with participants taking a shot at counseling her. Two participants volunteered, and although they did a pretty good job the real breakthrough came when we ended the session and Gabriela asked H a question that threw her into the unknown and got her puzzled about her own thinking. It turned into a phenomenal discussion and learning experience, and H came through with flying colors and felt so much better.
The closing circle we had was the most potent and powerful I’ve ever seen. So touching. Many tears of gratitude. Everyone seemed so grateful to have had this experience. This was the most courageous group of trainees I have ever seen. I loved this group and I loved this training, and I especially loved working with Gabriela again! After lunch, after the training was officially over, I played the rare Syd audio for people on a voluntary basis, and everyone showed up. That just seemed to cement the entire experience. I love my work.
