European Tour #3 – Beautiful people
Day 39. May 20. Friday.
The time got away from me this morning. Didn’t even have time to take a shower; first time on this trip. I don’t like that, but hey. Rudi drove me to Stanstead airport, where I caught a bus to Luton airport, which was both easily the cheapest way and least time. It’s been a real good couple of days with Rudi. On the way to the airport we spoke of collaborating with each other.
On the bus I overheard kind of a sickly woman talking on cellphone to someone and she was saying she only had 4 quid, so when we got off the bus I gave her a couple more. She appreciated it.
Then I stood in a RyanAir check-in line for a half hour and when I got to the desk the woman told me they weren’t checking anyone in for my flight yet so I’d have to come back in an hour. What other airline does that?! I didn’t appreciate that, but hey. Do I want to give my power over to the outside world and allow it to lower my spirits? Nope. Then three gate changes, sending us all over the airport. Then hour and a half delay on my flight. And please tell me why RyanAir takes out all their seat-back pockets in front of you—just to make their flights even more uncomfortable? But hey. Planned my Denmark training and Oslo presentation on the bus, and did some writing on my book on the plane.
The beautiful Lise Dandanelle picked me up in Copenhagen airport at the other end, with her huge dog, and we had a great talk driving the hour and a half to the beautiful Mette Louise Holland’s house for dinner, with the beautiful Mette Brink and Mette Louise’s beautiful sister. It was a beautiful meal with beautiful company. But I am tired and have to go on in the morning. Usually I always have a day before I land and begin training, but not this time!
