European Tour #3 – Glasgow and being in the moment
Day 24. May 5. Thursday.
Spent one more night at Jacquie’s, although by this time she’d gone off to Ireland. In the morning I took the train to Partick station in Glasgow, where Christian picked me up. We went for a nice walk, then I took a much-too-long nap to get ready for my evening presentation, for almost half people new to the Principles. It went well; people reported to Christian that they really liked it. One of the women in attendance made smoothies for everyone, which was a really nice, healthy touch. We picked up another couple of participants for the weekend session, which is nice. But my long nap affected my sleep that night. Not wise.
Day 25. May 6. Friday.
After a lousy night’s sleep it was great just to have a very relaxing, catch-up day. I did some preparation for the weekend session by taking a walk in the park nearby Christian’s house, but I got distracted by the thousands of beautiful, multi-colored flowers all over the place, and I really got into taking tons of pictures and loving every moment of it. The heightened sight sense is on high alert when I have a good camera in my hand. It’s like I am setting the intention for thought of which I’m unaware to pick up things I would normally walk right by and hardly notice. I think this is why I used to love photography so much, and why I got so into it today. I am absolutely one with the moment at times like that. I can thank Amy for buying me a beautiful camera somewhere along the way; one of the many gifts from her I cherish. (She’s got the paddleboards.)
Then Christian took me out to a nice, very old manor for lunch. Then back to playing catch-up and going to bed early to get ready for the first day of a weekend training. Well over 20 are coming, so what seemed meager at first really picked up.
