Thursday, May 24. Travel day. Agnese picked me up after breakfast and drove me to the train station. She has really been wonderful to me; a tremendous host. She got me onto the right train, told me what to do when I had to switch in Milano, and off I went. The switch went very smoothly, then I got on a train that clearly had to be older than I am. It felt like it was falling apart around me. On the train I started to plan for my upcoming training in Rimini. This is a tricky one, because some people are coming for an advanced coaching training, and others have hardly had any experience at all with the Principles. But it’s a small group of about 11 or 12, so we’ll see what happens. I got off in Bologna, where Monica Fava, my Italian publisher, and Carla met me. After having lunch together, where I learned the ins and outs of who is coming to the training, they drove me to Rimini. Rimini is not the most beautiful part of Italy, but it is all beach, and one can’t go wrong with the beach, and its apparently a real happening place. Lots of activity, lots of vibrancy, lots of restaurants, lots of tourists, lots of partying. After settling in and unpacking for a while, I took a long walk on the beach at sunset. There are no waves on this beach, at least not today, but that’s a good prognosis for swimming. Then I realized I needed to get back for a Skype call. I hustled back, only to find my Skype call was either not happening or delayed. So I went out and grabbed a kebab for dinner, came back and here I am, settling in for the night.
Update on the names of places yesterday. We went to Sacro Monte Orta (sacred mountain), Orta lake, Orta town, San Giulius Island, Villa Crespi.
